Join us in our new Art Studio as our Art Teacher, Miss Bridget, guides your child to create a unique work of art inspired by artist Gustav Klimt. This hands-on activity offers preschool children experience with sequential learning, fine motor skills, shapes and mosaic, color and a lesson in art history.  The children will work with gold paper and cut out shapes to create their own unique piece of Symbolism art on canvas. For this class please bring a small photo of your child as your child’s portrait will serve as the focal point for their work.

Mr. Klimt was an Australian symbolist painter whose work included large murals, paintings and sketches and many of his paintings used gold leaf (very thin sheets of gold.)  It is also known that he was inspired by mosaics; which is seen in the interesting shapes that he uses in his paintings.

Please RSVP to 978-440-7817 by Friday June 13, 2012. Limit 8 children ages 2years 9mnths – 5 years. Class is FREE and open to the community. *Pizza and refreshments will be served at 5:30 p.m. with art to follow at 5:45 p.m.
