Dear Residents,
The Boxborough Police Department is investigating a few day time house breaks. Stow, Acton , Littleton , Westford, Chelmsford have recently had a rash of these as well.
Suspects will usually knock on a door to see if someone's home first. If someone answers they will either say they are at the wrong home or make a story up about a car breaking down or that they are sales people. Most of these breaks are occurring during the day between 8:30 and 5 pm. Suspects are in and out of the house on less than 5 minutes. Taken is jewelry, TVs, children's video game systems, tools.
Please let the people in your neighborhood networks know this and to report any suspicious activity to the police. Get a description of the person, vehicle, license plate, direction of travel. If it doesn't seem right report it immediately by calling 911!
