Pippin, the son of Charlemagne, believes he is destined for an extraordinary life if he can only discover what he is meant to do. His search leads him to try many things, but nothing makes him happy. His father is too busy to help him. His devious stepmother is plotting to make her son to be the king’s successor. Pippin’s search leads him to the grand finale of the show and a choice that only he can make. Written by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked) and choreographed by Bob Fosse (Cabaret), the 1972 production received Tony Awards and rave reviews.
