Family Trees: A Celebration of Children's Literature

The 16th annual Family Trees gives Concord's renowned literary tradition a creative twist, as the Concord Museum is filled with fanciful trees of all shapes and sizes inspired by acclaimed children's storybooks and contemporary picture book favorites. Click Here for the 2011 Family Trees Booklist.

Hours are Monday – Saturday 9:00 – 5:00, Sunday 12:00 – 5:00.  
The Museum will be closed all day on Christmas Day and at 1:00 on Christmas Eve.  The Museum will be open on New Year’s Day, January 1 from 9:00 – 5:00.  
Museum Admission during this benefit event is $15 adults, $10 seniors, $6 children (4-18), Members Free.

An Evening with Local Authors & Illustrators, Thursday, December 15
Bring your family to a holiday evening to meet some local authors and illustrators whose books are featured in Family Trees.  Meet special guest Brian Lies, author and illustrator of the new Bats at the Ballgame and the New York Times bestsellers Bats at the Beach and Bats at the Library. Stroll through the galleries to enjoy the trees, munch on a holiday cookie, and visit with authors in Brooke Hall as they sign your books.  Books are available for purchase in the Museum Shop. 5:00-8:00 p.m.; Free with Family Trees admission; Members free.

Meet Classic Picture Book Characters!
Characters are on parade at 1:30 and 2:30 each weekend day included free with Family Trees admission.
Please note that these are life-size costumed characters and may be scary for some young children.
