Grand Opening and exciting events

Celebrate Westford's newest source for local vegetables. Open Thursday, June 7th from 3:00 to 7:00pm.

Events:

As part of our Grand Opening, we are excited to welcome Amy McCoy, author of Poor Girl Gourmet: Eat in Style on a Bare-bones Budget. After losing her job, Amy was still committed to enjoying delicious, local food. As we all know, eating local can be expensive so Amy took on the challenge of eating local through her layoff and produced an amazing cookbook that features meals for 4 people for $15 or less. Come meet Amy, check out her cookbook, and hear her suggestions and strategies for living on a local food budget. The program is $15, starts at 5pm, and Amy will have books for sale. You will also get some Fat Moon veggies as a take home from this event.

Also, Emily Piper of Rumphius Creativity Unhinged will have a special Farm Art project for kids ages 4 - 104. Just $5, drop-in, from 4:00 - 5:00pm.

What you can expect at the Farmstand this week:
Pea Shoots
Salad Mix (yes, we'll have more of the delicious mix with arugula, mustard & mizuna)
Lettuce
Pea Pods (these may be PYO)
Shelling Peas (perhaps the most fabulous thing we've grown this year, also PYO)
Garlic Scapes (quantities limited!)
Curly & Flat leaf parsley
Honey
Strawberry Planter Bags (complete with ripe strawberries!)
