Dinner Makes a Difference

Family dinners are always something Suzy is trying to do more of.  Here's a reminder for all of us...

Monday, September 28th is Family Day 2009.

Family Day - A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Children is a national movement to inform parents that the parental engagement fostered during frequent family dinners is an effective tool to help keep America's kids substance free. Family Day reminds parents that Dinner Makes A Difference!

Family Day began as a grassroots initiative and has grown to become a nationwide celebration.   Whether you're cooking a gourmet meal, ordering food from your favorite take-out place or eating on the go, all your kids really want during dinnertime is YOU! Family meals are the perfect time to talk to your kids and to listen to what's on their mind.  Studies show that the more often kids eat dinner with their families, the less likely they are to smoke, drink or use drugs.
