Disney's Jungle Book Kids is coming to a jungle near you, and Theatre with a Twist will be holding Auditions for Kids: Kindergarten- 3rd Grade age on Monday, November 8th and Tuesday, November 9th from 6 – 7:45 PM at 3 Post Office Square, Acton.
So dust down your feathers, or smooth your fur, swing on over and join our family favorites, Mowgli, Baloo and King Louie in their adventures through the deep dark forest full of the jazzy tunes like "The Bare Necessities" and "I Wanna Be Like You", and other toe-tapping jungle rhythms, but watch out for the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, along the way!
The cost per child is $199, as well as individual membership $15 and family membership $20. You may send in the registration form with a check made out to Theatre with a Twist and send it to our address posted above, or you may fill out the online registration form at www.mktix.com/twist (MKTix does charge a processing fee when you enroll online).
The performance dates are January 21, 22, & 23 of 2011.
What you need to know:
Song: Please be prepared to sing either: Happy Birthday, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, or Row Row Row Your Boat. You select the one you feel more comfortable singing.
Acting: Let’s pretend: Please be prepared to have us ask you about a jungle scene where you pretend to be either a boy or girl cub and you meet an animal friend in the jungle . You need to pretend to have a conversation with your favorite animal. Be either a tiger, monkey, bear, or elephant. You could be asked to play either a boy or girl cub or one of the animals of your choice.
Dancing: You will be taught a simple dance by your choreographer at the time of auditions.
