Where CONSIGN is not a dirty word!
During the summer of 2009, Suzy got word that a kids Couture Consignment store was opening in Acton! Yippee! With little ones of her own, she was always looking for a place to buy (and sell) quality items rather than paying retail!  Soon enough just before the holidays were here, so was Buttons & Bows! The store was so busy during its first days, Suzy had to wait for the owner to catch her breath before the two of them could sit and chat. And you should know, it was worth the wait!

Meet Jillian! A former corporate visual director, whose talents are clearly displayed among the racks and shelves of her new store.

What drove you to open Buttons & Bows Resale?
I started consignment shopping after my son was born. I realized how much waste there was in kids items. It was always a treasure hunt to find quality brands and an overwhelming experience in certain stores to say the least. I said to myself "this could be done so much better". So the idea was born...and a few months later after writing a business plan and finding the right location, Buttons & Bows was opened.

Why 'Resale' in 2010?
Now a days, people are smarter with their money. They come to realize the value of all of the gear as their kids quickly outgrow items. Most people would 'Hand-Me- Down' to family, friends or neighbors. And some still do, but the "good stuff" they want to cash in on.

What helps you to manage the hectic days of the business and family?
My husband would like you to believe it's him, the truth is I'm still learning how to manage it all. But a great caregiver/nanny who your kids adore really helps!

What was the best advice you received during the planning and opening of your store?
Don't second guess yourself.

What one thing do you want Suzy's Gal pals to know about the store?
We only take top brands and designers.

Suzy Note: Buttons & Bows also carries NEW trendy diaper wipe cases, Paci-Sitters, hair bows, tights, socks and more.
