Kids & Teens Classes at Tie Your Apron (Summer)
Do you have Julia Child or Emeril Lagasse living under your roof? Maybe one or more of these classes is just what your young chef ordered!

Chef/Owner Rebecca Scheier is excited to announce the following summer classes at Tie Your Apron in Acton.

Kids Can Cook-Basic Training
In this fun and educational class, we will concentrate on the basic skills that every cook needs to take his or her cooking to the next level.  Students will learn about knife skills,  preparing poultry, beef, pork, fish, shellfish, salads, vegetables, stocks, sauces, soufflés, omelets, pasta, rice and much more.   Each class will build upon the skills developed in the previous classes.  At the end of class each day, students will enjoy a delicious lunch featuring their creations.  
June 22nd -25th  10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. $180 Ages 9-12

Teens Can Cook-Basic Training
In this fun and educational class, we will concentrate on the basic skills that every cook needs to take his or her cooking to the next level.  Students will learn about knife skills, preparing poultry, beef, pork, fish, shellfish, salads, vegetables, stocks, sauces, soufflés, omelets, pasta, rice and much more.   Each class will build upon the skills developed in the previous classes.  At the end of class each day, students will enjoy a delicious lunch featuring their creations.  
June 27nd -30th  10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. $180 Ages 12-15

Kids Can Bake
In this fun and educational class, we’ll concentrate on basic baking skills.  Students will prepare cakes, pies, breads, cookies, brownies, cream puffs, eclairs as well as savory recipes to round out their meals  .  At the end of class each day, students will enjoy a delicious lunch featuring their creations.  
July 5th-8th 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. $180 Ages 9-12

Teens Can Bake
In this fun and educational class, we’ll concentrate on basic baking skills.  Students will prepare cakes, pies, breads, cookies, brownies, cream puffs, eclairs as well as savory recipes to round out their meals.  At the end of class each day, students will enjoy a delicious lunch featuring their creations.  
July 11th-14th 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. $180 Ages 12-15

A Mexican Fiesta for Kids
In  this four day session, we’ll concentrate on basic cooking skills in the context of  Mexican and Mexican inspired cuisine.   Students will prepare classic dishes and enjoy a delicious lunch featuring their creations at the end of class each day.
July 18th-July 21st 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. $180 Ages 9-12

A Mexican Fiesta for Teens
In  this four day session, we’ll concentrate on basic cooking skills in the context of  Mexican and Mexican inspired cuisine.    Students will prepare classic dishes and enjoy a delicious lunch featuring their creations at the end of class each day.
August 15th-August 18th 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. $180 Ages 12-15


Fresh From The Farm for Kids
In  this four day session, we’ll concentrate on basic cooking skills in the context of  vegetarian cuisine fresh from our local farms.    Students will prepare classic vegetarian dishes and enjoy a delicious lunch featuring their creations at the end of class each day.
August 22nd-August 25th 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. $180 Ages 9-12
