Though it was a few years ago, Suzy has fond memories of her high school prom (although she cringes a little thinking about the 80's hair!). You can give a local young women a chance to create her own memories and feel like a princess by donating your clean, stylish formal gowns, dresses and accessories to Cinderella's Closet - Monticello High School's prom dress sale, which will be held March 20 from 10:00am - 2:00pm.
In it's 5th year, Cinderella's Closet provides prom essentials - dresses, shoes, jewelry, etc. - to local high school girls headed to the prom. Dresses are collected, sorted and sized at Monticello High School prior to the sale. No dress is priced over $25 and dress vouchers are made available to area girls who cannot afford to buy dresses. Additionally, no girl is ever turned away.
Proceeds from the sale benefit Monticello High School's Make A Difference Fund - which serves to help students and families with school expenses (such as school supplies, field trip costs, and course fees).
Donations to Cinderella's Closet can be dropped off at the Guidance Office at Monticello High School at 1400 Independence Way between 8:30am and 4:30pm. For more information about the sale or how you can help contact Lydia Koon at
