Fall & Halloween Happenings This Week
Here are the area Halloween and autumn happenings for the whole family:

A Trip to the Farm
Mom's Morning In will have their annual field trip to Eden Farms in Stamford on October 24th. Children will get to pick their own pumpkin, take a hay ride into the pumpkin patch and wander through the hay bale maze. They can also walk through the spooky haunted house if they dare! Parents and/or caregivers and children should meet at Eden Farms at 947 Stillwater Road in Stamford at 10am. Rain or shine. A Jack-O'-Lantern Spectacular
For 11 magical nights (10/23 - 11/ 2) the outdoor spaces around The Maritime Aquarium will offer an incredible art show presented on glowing pumpkins. The event will be appropriate for all ages. To manage crowds the Aquarium is ONLY selling tickets in advance.  Price is $12 Sunday through Thursday and $14 on Fridays and Saturdays.  Maritime Aquarium members receive a $2 discount.

A Sweet Night Out
Suzy loves everything about this decadent place. The name, the wall to wall candy treats that fill the cellophane bags and the excitement! Come out to Sweet Rexies this Friday 10/24, bring the kids and their pals, it's a Halloween Kids Night Out.

Start the night with face painting and spooky tatoos. Make your own trick-or-treat bucket, complete with reflective trimming. Play games, eat dinner and make your own Halloween sundae. Finish it off with a treat in your new bucket.  Maybe even do the Monster Mash!

Cost: $30/child and advance reservations and prepayment are required. Space is limited so call early.


A Monster Mash
Join the fun from 6-8PM on Friday, October 24 or Saturday, October 25 for the 6th Annual Monster Mash! This "spooktacular" event will be a fun evening for children and families. Hands-on activities, live animals, tasty treats, games, a monster mash dance, storytelling and more.

Members $10/person, Non-Members $12/person. Children under one are free.

Darien YMCA's Haunted Gymnasium
Friday, October 24th, 2008 6:30 - 8 PM
This Halloween event is appropriate for kids 2-12 and all who are "young at heart." It's freakishly FREE and includes: Witches' Cauldrons, Ghoulish Games, Monster Mash Dance, Tricks & Treats. 6:30-8:00 pm. More info: www.darienymca.org.
