Suzy loves Thanksgiving, and is always thankful when someone else can pitch in and do the cooking. This year, Suzy has compiled a list of local shops and eateries offering holiday dishes to go that are sure to please the pickiest guest and leave every hostess feeling grateful.
Graze—The folks at Graze have added a Thanksgiving-themed menu of prepared foods to their farm-fresh delivery service. From apple soup to stuffing kits, Graze will help make your Thanksgiving sustainable and delicious.
Sails—This Rowayton nautical-inspired eatery is as Northeastern as they come and they’re offering their classic American fare for the holiday. For more details on the holiday menu, visit the Sails website.
Sugar & Olives—Norwalk’s original gourmet kitchen, Sugar & Olives will offer plenty of creative catering options for your holiday table. And, Sugar & Olives joyfully accommodates all sorts of diets, including vegan and gluten-free. Just ask.
Rosie—New Canaan’s favorite gourmet take-out spot will have plenty of prepared holiday foods to choose from. Rosie’s attention to culinary detail has made her Elm St. shop a go-to spot for New Canaanites. While you’re making your selections, make sure to sample some of Rosie’s soup of the day.
Scena—One of Darien’s most popular restaurants, Scena also offers take-out. Carefully prepared dishes by Scena’s celebrated kitchen staff will add flair and creativity to your holiday dinner. And while Scena hasn’t finalized the menu yet, Suzy is crossing her fingers that the butternut squash ravioli will be on it. Delish!

Connie’s Cakes—Speaking of dessert, Connie’s Cakes, a Westport-based confectioner, offers Midwestern-inspired carrot and coffee cakes that are made to order. Based on founder Dave Evans’ mother’s celebrated recipes, these cakes are about as homemade as they come. The carrot cake, packed with chocolate chips and topped with chocolate drizzle, is a delicious dessert alternative. And if you’re hosting house guests for the weekend, the Connie’s Coffee Cake makes for a perfect self-serve breakfast.
