Once upon a time, there was a quiet suburban oasis of art and creativity, at the heart of which was a playhouse where some of the region’s most talented artists would converge.
It’s the Westport Country Playhouse, of course. And the play is Into the Woods, a well-spun retelling of quintessential fairy tales accompanied by the satisfyingly haunting soundtrack by Stephen Sondheim.
Stories you thought you knew so well will come to life on the Westport Country Playhouse stage, under the careful direction of Mark Lamos. The show runs through May 26.
