Be The First to Get A Piece of Hometown America - Book Signing
Thursday, February 26, 2009

Be sure to stop by the Rowayton library this Saturday for a very special book signing. Our Place Books – a new series of beautifully illustrated books, depicting the local history of communities and towns in Connecticut, written especially for children begins it's launch with "Our Place Rowayton"
The historical children's book is told through the eyes of Jack the Golden Retriever and covers the early history of Rowayton including the dinosaur era, the Native Americans and the arrival of the English settlers.
The front cover artwork for each book was created by the local school children.
Saturday, February 28th
10:30 am
Rowayton Library,
33 Highland Avenue,
Rowayton
Everyone is invited to come meet the authors, husband and wife team Chris Gorman and Michelle Morfitt, meet Jack the Golden Retriever, and learn a bit of Rowayton history as told by Jack in the story. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the Library and refreshments will be served.
Our Place Books is committing $1.75 for every book sold to be distributed to locale-specific causes that make each locale the wonderful place that it was yesterday and is today. Our Place Books has gone to print on books for Rowayton, Darien, Greenwich, Westport, Fairfield, New Canaan and has plans to cover further territory. The series will be available in local bookstores and other local merchants in the coming weeks.
