The dog days of summer are officially here and if you're looking for some cool summer fun check out these options:
Clarke's Outdoors
Head to West Cornwall in northwestern CT and raft or paddle the beautiful Housatonic River in the northwestern hills. It's a terrific outing for the entire family or great for the high school and college set, on the white water.
Canoes, kayaks or rafts all available for rental. Novice to expert, there's something for everyone.
Pack a picnic and enjoy it at one of the many scenic spots along the way.

Farmington River Tubing:
Take the entire family tubing on the Farmington River
Hop on a yellow inner tube and enjoy a 2.5 mile ride down the wild and scenic Farmington River. You'll float through calm sections and 3 sets of rapids. Lifeguards are posted at the 2nd set, all other areas are not lifeguard attented.
Open through mid September
Suzy Tip: Everyone must be at least 10 years old, at least 4 feet 5 inches tall, and you must be able to swim.
