Visit With Santa and Support OPUS Person-to-Person at Annual Holiday Shopping Event

Santa makes his official debut at the Darien Sport Shop this week and will be visiting with kids, listening to their holiday wishes through Christmas. Visit with Santa this week and support our local OPUS Person-to-Person.
Where: Darien Sport Shop, 1127 Post Road, Darien
When: Thursdays from 3-6 PM, and Saturdays & Sundays from 12N-3 PM
Support OPUS Person-to-Person this Thursday and Friday
The Darien Sport Shop and OPUS for Person-to-Person will be hosting a holiday shopping event on Thursday, December 3rd and Friday, December 4th. The Darien Sport Shop will donate a portion of the event sales to OPUS for Person-to-Person.
Children will have the opportunity to be among the first to visit Santa on Thursday, December 3rd from 3-6PM, and Jack Dog studios will be on hand to take photographs of children with Santa.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to buy raffle tickets in order to win the 2nd annual OPUS Giving Tree. The Giving Tree contains gift certificates from area vendors and merchants such as Ten Twenty Post, Darien Toy Box, and Sunny Nails. The Giving Tree is valued at $575. All proceeds from chance ticket sales will go directly to OPUS for Person-to Person.
Now in its 13th year, OPUS supports Darien-based Person-to-Person through fundraising efforts and by raising public awareness. Each year, over 22,500 people receive assistance from Person-to-Person ranging from food and clothing donations, to scholarship grants, to layettes for babies, to living assistance loans to the holiday toy store and more. To date, OPUS has raised over two million dollars for Person-to-Person.
