If one of your New Year's Resolutions is to be a better cook, let Williams-Sonoma give you a little help. During their free technique series in January, they'll help you master several basic cooking techniques. First, learn all about sautéing and panfrying, two techniques that are ideal for everyday home cooking. In the second class, you'll tackle how to sear meats and vegetables, as well as to simmer soups, sauces and more. Each class includes recipes and samples.
They'll also solve the mystery of which pans to use with each cooking method. Space is limited, so please call Williams-Sonoma's Westport store to sign up.
