DogTalk - Kids Reading to Therapy Dogs!
Bring your little one to the Rowayton Library Saturday Mornings in February @ 10:30 am to help improve their reading skills in a new and different way.

The Rowayton Library is starting a new chapter in its program for children who wish to improve their reading skills by reading to therapy dogs. Each Saturday in February, there will be a new therapy dog - beginning with Brasil, the Whippet.

Come to the library for reading fun and crafts. This event is co-sponsored by R.E.A.D.  (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) and Healing Hounds of Stamford Hospital.  The Reading Education Assistance Dogs program improves children's reading and communications skill by employing a powerful method: reading to a dog, but not just any dog.  R.E.A.D. dogs are registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handlers as reading companions for children.

Children who attend two or more programs will receive a Certificate of Participation.

For more information, please call the Library at (203) 838-5038 or visit the web at RowaytonLibrary.org
This program is free and open to the public.
