Preschool Story Hour - New Canaan Historical Society
Monday, April 05, 2010

Spring story time is offered again this year for all three and four-year-old children. Listen to a story, engage in an arts-and-crafts project, have a snack, play colonial games and learn a little about how children lived in early New Canaan.
Visit the New Canaan Historical Society on Wednesdays, April 7, 14, 21 and 25 from 3:30-4:30.
The program costs $10 per session for members ($35 for all four) and $15 for non-members. ($55 for all four).
In the past, children learned about Johnny Appleseed, made applesauce from scratch; crafted horn-books in Rock School, and made small quilts in our craft room. They learned about children's chores and what school was like in a one-room schoolhouse in addition to playing traditional games such as hoops and "Hide the Thimble."
