An Awareness of the Teenage Years
The YWCA Parent Awareness Network & Middlesex Middle School present a Middle School Parent Exchange.

Short skirts, cell phones and risky teenage behavior are just a few of the issues and concerns that children face as they reach Middle School.

To ease these transitions and provide a platform for parents to share thoughts and concerns, Middlesex Principal Debi Boccanfuso will moderate a free Parent Exchange on Wednesday, October 13th from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Middlesex Middle School (MMS) in Darien.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch.

MMS Guidance Counselors and staff will participate in the program and provide parents with an opportunity to join group discussions.  The range of topics will be parent-driven with the goal to:

Ease transitions into a new school
Address concerns with MMS professionals regarding teen behavior
Get information your teens may not be communicating with you
Find out what other parents are concerned about or are doing to address similar issues
Interact with other parents who’ve already “been there” with older children
