JR Forever Memorial Walk

James Robert (JR) Schoen, a third grader at Holmes School in Darien, passed away in July after a year long battle with brain cancer. In his memory, family and friends have organized a 1.5 walk for kids at Pear Tree Point Beach on what would have been JR's 10th birthday, October 11th. Please bring your family and become part of this inspirational event, honoring the life of this incredible child. Proceeds from the walk will be donated to Playground by the Sound and Post 53.
All Darien elementary school children and their families are invited to participate. The starting point and check-in will be at Pear Tree Point Beach. The families will walk up Pear Tree Point Road to Long Neck Point Road, turn right and follow Long Neck Point back around to the beach. The distance is approximately 1.5 miles. Parking is limited so please carpool.
