An Old Fashioned Fall Festival
What's better than a fall fair?  Nothing when you look at the knock-out lineup for this Saturday's 39th Annual Fall Fair at the New Canaan Nature Center.  

When: Saturday, October 18th, 11 AM - 5 PM

Admission: Free but a suggested donation of $20 per family. Activity tickets will be sold on-site.

Where: New Canaan Nature Center, 144 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan

What's in store:  
The new haunted woodland trail
Horse drawn wagon tours (Noon - 4:30 PM)  
Petting zoo (1-4 PM)
Harnessed tree-climbing  
Pony rides  
Hay maze
Nature-based crafts and games/prizes  
Pumpkin and cupcake decorating
Face painting and tatoos
Giant inflatable slide
Rides on New Canaan's antique fire engine, Old Faithful (11:30 AM – 1:30 PM)
Professional fall family photos by Julie Stauffer, $10 for a 4"x 6" color print to take home (11:30 – 3:30 PM)

Entertainment includes:

Magical Music For Life Foundation performance including "Too Many Toxins" written especially for the occasion (11:30 – Noon)

Live performance by award-winning Jamaican artist Mystic Bowie (Noon – 4 PM)

Apple pie eating contest! Winner receives a pie a month from SoNo Bakery & Café for one year, $10 entry fee (3 PM)

Birds of prey and reptile demonstrations

Magician The Great Sirico (1 – 3 PM)

Agostino & Co. Performing Arts  

Big Apple Circus performers from Circus To Go  

Halloween Play by National Charity League New Canaan chapter volunteers  

Storytelling in the Children's Garden with "Miss Melinda"  

"Children In Nature" art exhibit in the Sturgess Room by Catharine McChord, who will be signing books from Noon – 3 PM at the Annual Scholastic Book Fair in the Sturgess Room
