Legos, Gingerbread and a Tea Party

On Saturday, November 17th three annual holiday traditions will kick off at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center.
Members' Preview & Opening Reception is Friday, November 16 from 6 to 7:30PM with an appearance by the cast of The Stamford All-School Musical performing selections from its upcoming performance of Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
Visions of Gingerbread Tea Party
On Saturday, November 17 at 2 PM, decorate your own gingerbread boys and girls with frosting bow ties and candy hair bows! Tea, luscious sandwiches and sweets will be served. Popular storyteller, Ms. Karen, will be spinning up some yarns about the Gingerbread Man and his mischief. Bring your favorite doll or stuffed animal.
Registration is required and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult. To register, call 203-977-6521.
Members: $45 per person, $25 for each additional person
Non-Members: $55 per person, $25 for each addl. person
All Aboard with Bill Probert and Friends
Bill Probert has established himself as a master of the LEGO® "trainscape." A favorite of Museum visitors, this master of LEGO® brick construction, history, and lore invents and re-invents landscapes and scenarios, with every single element in his creations made from LEGO® products. Probert will be making an encore performance just in time for the holidays with his LEGO® train exhibition.
This event is free with gate admission and runs November 17 - January 27, 2013.
The 3rd Annual Visions of Gingerbread: The Sweetest Architects
A sweet holiday tradition has taken root at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center with the 4th annual Visions of Gingerbread: The Sweetest Architects exhibition. See some creative confections, completely consisting of edible materials, from the area's finest chefs and caterers. Returning favorites, along with new competitors, will show off their gingerbread skills.
This event is free with gate admission and runs November 17 - January 27, 2013.
