Sing With Your Child

This month, Music Together celebrates "Sing with your Child Month, " a special time to commemorate the importance of singing, dancing, and making music with our families.
Music making is integral to children's development, supporting both their growth into confident music makers and healthy and confident adults. March, a month symbolizing re-birth and growth, is the perfect time to celebrate the bonding and joy that occur when families make music together.
As a matter of fact, the current recession may have one positive impact: the increase in the amount of time we have to spend with our children. One activity parents can do which reduces stress, promotes bonding and enhances the relationship between all family members is to sing and make music with their children.
In addition to the bonding that occurs when parents sing and make music with their children, the children grow into confident music makers, and music learning supports all learning by promoting creativity, personal expression, and social interaction.

Music Together invites you to join us to celebrate Sing With Your Child month here in Fairfield County,CT. There are special events scheduled on the following days and times. All events are open to families with children, any age at all, and their friends.
