"PLAY IN MAY" FUNDRAISER SEEKS DOUBLES TEAMS TO BENEFIT NORWALK GRASSROOTS TENNIS
The 7th annual "Play in May" tennis tournament benefiting Norwalk Grassroots Tennis is scheduled for May 2nd at clubs throughout Darien, New Canaan and Norwalk and is open all players 18 and over. The committee is seeking teams in Men's A, B and 55 and over categories as well as Women's A, B and C.
To enter your team, click here and go to events. The $100 per person entry fee includes at least two matches, lunch and two tickets to the post-play cocktail party and awards ceremony at Woodway Country Club the night of the tournament.
Norwalk Grassroots Tennis provides economically disadvantaged youth from urban centers of Fairfield County with structure and encouragement in a positive environment. The program offers tennis instruction along with the opportunity to develop confidence, sportsmanship, and a feeling of accomplishment. All services are provided at no cost to the child and are funded through private donations and fundraisers like the Play in May event.
