Paint the Town Pink This Thursday at the Darien Sport Shop
Shop for a cause this week at the Darien Sport Shop.

As part of Stamford Hospital's Paint the Town Pink campaign, the Darien Sport Shop is hosting "Shopping, Smiles and Styles"—a day long shopping event on Thursday, October 8 from 10 am till 3 pm.  Ten percent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Stamford Hospital's Mobile Mammography Program, which provides approximately 1,000 mammograms for uninsured and under-insured women each year.  The event is free and guests will enjoy morning coffee with friends, fun, and fashions as the latest fall styles are showcased in the Darien Sport Shop's all-new ladies departments that feature new additions like Stuart Weitzman, Donald Pliner, BCBG, Ellie Tahari, Cynthia Steffe, Susana Monaco, Frye, Hunter and more.

Paint the Town Pink is a community-wide effort that runs throughout the month of October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Its goal is to raise awareness for breast cancer-related issues such as the importance of screening and early detection, as well the treatment and services available in this area. The campaign is sponsored by the Stamford Hospital in conjunction with organizations throughout the communities of Stamford, Darien, New Canaan and Wilton.
