Clean Up Your Mile
Friday, April 23, 2010

If we all pitched in and cleaned up our little patch of the planet, Suzy can only imagine what a difference it would make.
New Canaan, you blaze the trails for us all, so roll up your sleeves, get the kids out of bed and clean up your mile!
Here's the details: The New Canaan Chamber of Commerce, The New Canaan Garden Club, Rotary Club of New Canaan, and TD Bank are joining forces with the Town of New Canaan Inland Wetlands and Public Works Departments to organize the "2010 Clean Your Mile" spring cleaning effort.
The organizations call for volunteers to assist in collecting trash Saturday and Sunday, April 24th and 25th.
Collection supplies are free; garbage bags will be available to volunteers and can be picked up at the Department of Public Works in town hall, the Department of Inland Wetlands at 848 Weed Street, and at TD Bank at the corner of Elm and Grove streets.
Bagged trash may be placed in dumpsters located at the Elm Street railroad parking lot or at Waveny Park by the softball fields.
To sign up, call Catharine Sturgess at 203-966-2747 or Kathleen Holland at 203-594-3036.
