Holiday Shopping & Festivities With Opus

Join Suzy in kicking off the holiday season by shopping and eating local during this week's Opus for Person-to-Person Holiday Shopping Event.
Wednesday, December 1st - Saturday, December 4th.
Enjoy discounts and special events for adults and children at participating Darien businesses.
Ten Twenty Post (1020 Post Road) will offer a $40 drink and appetizer special from 8 to 10 PM on Wednesday 12/1. Half of all proceeds from the evening will be donated to Person-to-Person.
Ole Mole (1020 Post Road) will also offer half-priced drinks on Wednesday, 12/1 and Thursday, 12/2.
The Little Gym (4 Corbin Drive) has organized a Parents’ Survival Night for Friday, 12/3 from 6:15 to 9:15 PM. Parents can drop off their kids and enjoy a dinner out in town. The cost is $40 for members ($20 each additional sibling) and $50 for non-members ($25 each additional sibling).
Darien Toy Box (1064 Boston Post Road) will host the two authors of Merrilee Mannerly, Mary Cashman and Cynthia Whipple, who will read from their children’s book on Saturday, 12/4 at 3 PM. The event culminates at 4:30 PM with a festive tree lighting and caroling by Darien High School Tudor Singers at the Grove Street Plaza. Santa Claus will make a special appearance, arriving by fire truck, at 5 PM.
Throughout the four-day event, each time a patron shops or dines at one of the participating local retailers, he or she can buy a $1 raffle ticket for a chance to win a $250 gift certificate to Ten Twenty Post, a $200 gift certificate to Williams & Warren, a Buddha bag from Beadz Boutique and a free haircut and style at Fredric and Co.
All raffle proceeds will go directly to Person-to-Person.
