Fall Soccer
Open to girls grades K-6 and boys grades K-4, don't miss the August 15 deadline. Teams are coached by volunteer parents and children will have one weekday practice and a Saturday morning game all held at the Waveny Fields. Divided into grade divisions, Kindergarten is co-ed while the other divisions are all-boy or all-girl. A great beginner program to learn and have fun. Parents- please consider coaching and helping out by selecting the check box on the registration form. Forms and info at the Recreation Office or www.newcanaan.info Online registration also available. The program is scheduled to begin on September 10.
Field Hockey for Girls
This long-time developmental program for girls to try field hockey as an alternate to the popular soccer program. The Developmental Field Hockey program is open to girls in grades 3-8 and is held on Saturday mornings this fall. The program will follow the guidelines of skill development set by the US Junior Field Hockey Association. Sticks and balls are provided, participants must supply shin guards, mouth guard and eye protection. Join us and have fun learning field hockey. Sign up online! The program is scheduled to begin on September 10.
7th & 8th Grade Girls Soccer
Offered to 7th & 8th grade girls interested in continuing the Fall Soccer program beyond sixth grade. One practice a week and a Saturday game throughout the fall. The program is scheduled to begin on September 10.
STAR Soccer Program- second grade boys and girls
The STAR Soccer program is back for second grade boys and girls enrolled in the Fall Recreation Soccer Program. This program will be a weekly extra day of practice (Fridays) with a professional trainer teaching soccer skills to advance you to the next level. A great program for those interested in advancing to the Travel Soccer level. Online registration offered. The program will begin on September 9.
