Play Soccer and Help Kids in Haiti
Monday, August 01, 2011

Boys and girls, ages 3 to 11 can plan on a week of soccer fun when the Packer Soccer Camps make it way to Middlesex School in Darien the week of August 8. While the kids are leaping, kicking and scoring, there are kids in Haiti who will benefit too.
A portion of this summer' camp’s proceeds will be donated to Haiti Lumiere de Demain, a non-profit organization which provides textbooks and flashlights for the children of Haiti.
Camp runs August 8th - 12th
5 – 11 year old - 9 AM – Noon
3 – 4 year old - 10 – 11 AM
The Packer Soccer Camps were organized in 1978 in response to the growing popularity of the world's favorite sport. Despite the number of schools and camps already in existence, Packer (Rowayton), a former member of the U.S. Olympic soccer team and the U.S. Armed Forces European Soccer team, and Peter Gogolak (Darien), former football placekicker for the NY Giants and the Buffalo Bills, perceived the need for an environment in which young soccer enthusiasts could truly enjoy the game of soccer. “After all,” said Packer, “soccer should be as much fun to learn as it is to play.
