Take the Summer Reading Challenge

The Fairfield Library is going to reward our kiddos for their summer reading.  Suzy's girls can't wait to get started.

Here's the scoop...
The Fairfield Children’s Library summer reading program runs from June 1st through Aug 6th.   Children can sign up online starting today by clicking here.

The program is free and kids may pick any books from anywhere to count toward their reading goals.  

The following prizes will be awarded to any child who signs up and reads the following number of books:  
Prizes
After 5 books or items are read kids will get:
o coupon for a free meal at any Fairfield Subway sandwich shop,
o all-day ride pass to Quassy Amusement Park,
o coupon for Carvel ice cream.

After 10 books/items, All children will receive:
o 2 tickets to the Sound Tigers Opening Hockey Game
o a ticket to a Bridgeport Bluefish baseball game.  
In addition, after 10 books Fourth(4th) and fifth(5th) graders will earn:
o a new paperback book
o a ticket to Casey Carle’s  BubbleMania (BubbleMania is a comedy performance where bubble creations are made and they range from intricate and imaginative bubble art-forms to “trapping” people inside giant bubbles!)

After 15 books/items children in grades Kindergarten thru 3 and younger will earn:
o a new paperback book
o a ticket to BubbleMania  

BubbleMania will take place at Ludlowe High School on Wednesday, August 18 at 2 pm.  Kids MUST present a ticket which they will have earned based on reading the number of books listed above to gain entrance to this program.
