Sign Language Workshop for Parents

Take advantage of “Baby Signs: Sign Language for Parents of Toddler and Babies” offered by the Fairfield Public Library. During this invaluable workshop, parents will learn the skills necessary to teach children who are too young to speak how to communicate using American Sign Language (ASL).

Benefits of teaching ASL vocabulary to young children include:
• reducing frustration and tantrums
• increasing vocabulary and IQ
• promoting literacy and stronger reading skills
• allowing infants and toddlers to communicate specific thoughts
The program is for parents, teachers, and caregivers.
