Penfield Beach Sand Sculpting Festival
Bring the whole family out for this terrific 4 day event, kicking off with the dumping of 5 tons of sand at Penfield Beach, culminating with a sand creation of the Penfield Lighthouse.
The carving will take place on 6/26 and 6/27. Additional events will take place right through the weekend.

The Fairfield Beach Residents Association is hosting this event in a continuing effort to improve the beach area for all town residents.  Net proceeds will go to improving the quality, safety, beauty and ecology of Penfield Beach.  

Come watch Sean and his team mold 5 tons of sand into a whimsical intrepretation of the Penfield Reef Lighthouse. Below are some of his previous creations.

The following events will also take place during the Sand Sculpting festival at Penfield Beach.

Thursday 6/26:
9AM: Sand Drop
7:30PM: Fairfield Public Library - Slide show presentation on Connecticut
Beach Birds by Milan Bull, Senior Director of Science and Conservation at the Connecticut Audubon Society.

Friday 6/27
8AM Qi Gong and Tai Chi with Brooke Becker, no experience required.
Sand build  continues and is completed late day.

Saturday 6/28
8AM-9:15AM Yoga with Robert Ortner, all levels welcome. Bring towel or yoga mat.

10-10:45AM Family Yoga with Erica Tetro. All ages welcome. Bring towel or yoga mat.
