Young Reader's Day

Celebrate Young Readers' Day on Sunday, July 27th. Simon and Schuster and Roaring Book Press have donated thousands of "like new" children's books that will be available for the first time during the Pequot Library Book sale on Sunday morning starting at 10:00 a.m., and will be housed in a separate Young Readers Day tent.
In addition to this large selection of children's books, Young Readers' Day will also feature a children's concert at 1:00 p.m. led by Mary Ann Hall. Ms. Hall is the head of Music for Children, a child-centered music program with a family focus that has locations throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut, a center in New York City, and a location in San Francisco. Hall has performed extensively and is renowned for her ability to connect her music to the hearts of the children and adults in her audience.
In addition to the concert, there will be crafts and story-hours presented by Susan Ei, Pequot Library's Children's Librarian.
Suzy Tip: All children who come on Young Readers' Day will receive a free book from the Children's Section in the Main tent.
