The Other Library
Founded in 1889 and recently renovated, the Pequot Library is a community gem. Check out some of the unique programs. There's something offered for all ages and interests plus free Wi-Fi for the Moms.

Some highlights:

Babes on a Blanket
9:30-10:15 AM
A lifelong love of reading starts here, on the floor.  Come share board books, toys, and music with your baby. Doughnuts and coffee included for the older set. No registration required.
Wednesdays: March 28; April 4, 11, 25; May 2, 9, 16, 23

Puff the Magic Bunny
Come participate in this brand-new program for emerging readers.
Book an appointment with Puff, the resident live rabbit at the Pequot Library. He can sit on your lap while you read him a story, and he wont care if you make a mistake!  You can also take Puff for walks around the neighborhood in his Puffmobile! All Ages welcome.

Old Virginia Reel Dancin'
Dust off that plaid shirt and cowboy boots! Come on out for a neighborhood whirl, twirl your girl and celebrate Spring!
Friday, March 23 7:00 PM
Families, couples and singles welcome. Kids grades 3 & up.
Professional callers will conduct the reels and teach the steps. Bring munchies for the Mess Hall.
Cowboy attire is encouraged and registration is suggested.
Admission: $5 per person; Maximum of $15 per family.

Dont cook  discuss a book! Did you miss a classic with your children? This is a chance to share it with your family and others for an informal, pizza-eating, on-the-floor rap session.

For Tweens and Teen
Become a part of Pequots new Young Adult volunteer program, complete with team-designed logo, t-shirts, dogtags and other tools of the trade. Work with your peers to implement your own ideas and ours: be involved in future programming and the Book Sale, read to and entertain children, teach computer skills to seniors, keep the libraries books in order. Fulfill community service hours while having fun and starting something new.
