Home on the Range

DINERS
You can't lose in Fairfield with a plethora of outstanding diner food. Here are a few who deserve honorable mentions:
Penny Diner
Suzy's galpal Michele has a tip for families frequenting the Penny. She writes, "Be sure to sit in Burt's station. He's the grandpa waiter who knows all the tricks to keep little one's happy. He brings plastic spoons to play with, drinks with lids for no spills. He serves the kids fast and first so Mom and Dad have time to butter pancakes, and cut the french toast before their meals arrive."

Athena Diner
Suzy spends nearly every Saturday morning with her kids at Athena. Try the scrumptious whole-grain blueberry pancakes (they're not always listed on the menu). Superb!
