Beach Sticker Mania

Monday, March 26, 2007

It's that time again.  Time to apply for the 2007 Town Beach Sticker.

The rules for '07 are the same.

Beach sticker applications will be mailed next week to anyone who purchased one last year.

If you are not in that group: Fairfield residents can obtain a permit by mailing in the application (see link below).
(You may request to receive a fax copy of the application form by calling 255-7381.)

This $18.00 sticker entitles you to parking at the Fairfield / Southport Marinas, Transfer and Recycling Stations, Jennings Beach, South Pine Creek Beach, Southport Beach, Sasco Beach and Penfield Beach.  Separate passes are required for Lake Mohegan.

Here's a tip: If you wish to go to Penfield beach only, request a Penfield only sticker, which will be issued at no charge.

The following are the directions from the Town website:
Along with the application, you need to send a copy of your vehicle registration.  Checks may be made out to the Town of Fairfield.  Please mail your information to:  Town of Fairfield, P.O. Box 320293, Fairfield CT 06825-0293.  Permits will be mailed to you.  There is no need to include a stamped, self addressed envelope this year.

The town will begin to sell beach stickers at John J. Sullivan / Independence Hall beginning May 7. (There will be an additional charge of $5 for "in person" registration.)
