15th Annual Relay For Life of Fairfield

The 2012 Relay For Life of Fairfield is this Saturday and Sunday, June 9th-10th at Fairfield Ludlowe High School. Celebrating 15 years in Fairfield, the team event to fight cancer features 2,000 team members joining local cancer survivors and their caregivers in walking the track.
Fairfield’s First Selectman Michael Tetreau will help kickoff the Opening Ceremony along with Honorary Chairs Lili Walker and Mark Frattaroli. Starting with the Opening Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Saturday and ending with a Closing “Sunrise” Ceremony that will conclude at 6 am on Sunday, the overnight event brings awareness to how the fight against cancer never stops.
Online registration for the 2012 Relay For Life of Fairfield remains open here until Thursday June 7. Day of Registration at the event will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday June 9. Other highlights of the event include: Trendsetters Salon’s 8-inch ponytail donation booth open from 6:45-9:00 p.m., the Fairfield Firefighters’ 3:00 a.m. Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwiches, and performances by local bands.
