Summer Camp Openings
Tired of hearing the kids are bored and don't have anything to do?  Don't worry, there is still plenty of time to sign your kids up for summer camps and activities.  Here are a few programs with openings.

Connecticut Audubon Society
Exploration, discovery, curiosity - the heart of Connecticut Audubon Summer Nature Weeks.  Combining science, exploration, crafts, and games, campers experience the wonders of nature -discover the pond and the forest, the marsh or the meadow.  Connecticut Audubon Society offers Half and Full Day Programs for children ages 3-12.   Weeklong programs run now through August 15.  For brochure: (203) 259-6305 ext 109, or on-line at www.ctaudubon.org

DownUnder Kayaking
1-4pm weekdays $385.
Ages 8+, appeals through 14year-olds
Kids have a blast learning paddling skills through water games, treasure hunts and team building exercises that foster friendships and develop confidence.  They also learn about the maritime environment and how to take care of it.

Fairfield Museum and History Center: Spies R Us July 8 & 9
Suzy's daughter is crazy for history so she's psyched to learn about the spies who worked for George Washington's Culper Spy Ring this week at the Fairfield Museum and History Center. Kids will enjoy fun spy activities like creating a secret identity, fingerprinting and more.

The Little Gym
Anytime, Summertime Camp at The Little Gym of Fairfield offers a different theme each week.  Suzy loves the flexibility, choose as many or as few days as you like.  Upcoming themes include Time Traveler, Sports Spectacular and Adventures of T-Rex and Puff!

The Young Artists Studio
Sign the kids up to learn and paint in the style of some of the greatest artists in history. August 3-7, where they'll study Monet/Impressionism and August 10-14, Leonardo DaVinci.  One week sessions 9 AM - 12 N.
The week culminates with a student art show.

Programs at the Fairfield Public Library with openings:
Caldecott Kids program
This fun program combines films, crafts, and storytelling and centers on award-winning books.  It is for children who have finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grades.  The program meets at either Fairfield Woods branch or main library the week of July 13th.  

Discussion groups of the Nutmeg books
These are titles that have been chosen by kids throughout the state of Connecticut .  Kids who have finished 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade are welcome.  The groups meet at either Fairfield Woods or Main library starting July 16th.  

Hip-Hop dancing class
On August 6th for children who have finished grades 1 and 2.
