Walk the Walk for Prevention

Walk the Walk for Prevention & Recovery is a 5K fundraising walk along the beautiful shoreline of Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, CT. It is an opportunity for individuals, families and communities to enjoy a day of fun and exercise while showing their support for Positive Directions. Dogs on leashes welcome! Food & beverages, kid's activities, great raffle prizes and and a dog costume contest guarantee you'll have a fun-filled day while helping a great cause!

Sunday, October 4th. Registration begins at 9:00 am, opening remarks at 10:00 am. Walk begins RAIN or SHINE 10:20 am.

Positive  Directions is a non-profit organization that supports individuals, families & communities by providing prevention programs & treatment services for mental health & addictive behaviors. Funds raised support a broad range of programs , including: Prevention Programs; Counseling for Adolescents & Adults; Interventions; Community Forums; Free Telephone Advisory Service; & many other programs. Clients are charged on a sliding scale according to ability to pay and no one seeking assistance is turned away for lack of funds.
