Monday, January 11, 2010

In-person and online registration for the Fairfield Children's Library Winter Library Programs start tomorrow, Tuesday, January 12 at 9:00 a.m. Telephone registration will begin Wednesday, January 13, but Suzy recommends registering on Monday as many of the Library's terrific programs fill-up very fast.
They offer programs at the Children's Library, 1080 Old Post Rd., Fairfield or at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road, Fairfield. You need to register at the location your child will be attending. All their programs are free, but you need to have your current library card on-hand to register.
Programs are offered for children ranging in age from 6 months to 12 years old. Regular programs include: Nursery Rhyme Time, Walking Rhymers, Born to Read, Baby Play Group, Terrific Twos, Mother Goose on the Loose, Just Me! at Three, Kids Knit, Book Worms, Pajama Storyhour, Mad about Dad, and Mother- Daughter Book Group.
They also offer some special programs including: Parenting without Breaking a Sweat, Young People's Ballet, Magic with Scott Jameson, Beyond the Book, Lego in the Library, Myths & Merriment: Family Storytelling, and Music for the Whole Family with Melissa Green.
A complete listing of all times, dates, and descriptions of these programs can be found on the children's library website fairfieldpubliclibrary.org/children under the heading "children's calendar" or pick up a printed version of the Children's Library Calendar at either library location.
Check Suzy's Calendar for the many Winter Drop-in programs for various ages from babies through school-aged children, these do not require registration.
