There are women in our Fairfield community who could use a helping hand this holiday season. Women in Need is ready to help! Plan to rally your girlfriends and head to the Horseshoe on Wednesday evening, December 8th at 7:30 PM. The "jar in a bar" will be collecting donations for a deserving local woman in town.
About Women in Need
Women in Need (WiN) addresses the unmet need of women in the Fairfield, Connecticut community who are experiencing financial difficulty due to personal circumstances beyond their control.
WiN was established in 2007 by two Fairfield women in an effort to help friends and neighbors. Referrals are submitted through fairwomeninneed@aol.com. Once a nominee is identified and verified, the group meets at the Horseshoe in Southport where donations are collected for the anonymous recipient. Every dollar collected is donated. The philosophy of WiN is based on a grassroots approach, no overhead, no formal solicitations – just women helping women. WiN has raised over $15,000 since 2007.
