Santa's Coming to Southport, Support WiN While You're There

Santa will be driving through Southport Center on a Firetruck with his parade of flying popcorn balls on Thursday night. Bring the kids out for this annual Southport Village event.

While you're in Southport Center, stop by the Horseshoe after Santa's visit to support Women in Need. They'll have their Jar at the Bar out to support two women in our community who are facing devastating financial setbacks and circumstances. The holidays present a particular challenge for those who can barely pay the bills and put food on the table. Feel free to bring your families and have a burger at the Horseshoe or put the kiddos to bed and come back and have a night out with the ladies.
About Women in Need
Women in Need (WiN) is an organization set up by two women in Fairfield to help friends and neighbors. The organization addresses the unmet need of women in the community who are experiencing difficult financial circumstances. Referrals are submitted by Fairfield women about other Fairfield women who need help. The philosophy of WiN is based on a grassroots approach, no overhead, no formal solicitations-- just women helping women.
Several times a year, a gathering will be held. Money will be collected and then anonymously delivered to the “woman in need’s” mailbox. Every dollar collected will directly benefit the woman assisted.
