Shakespeare Lite
Take the family out for an enlightening -- and get this, entertaining -- performance of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost at the Beardsley Zoo stage August 1-4. And it's Free!

The Connecticut Free Shakespeare Company is "committed to producing understandable and entertaining performances of Shakespeare's plays accessible to a broad range of audience members."

In other words, it sounds like fun.

Main stage show begins at 8 PM. Come early and bring (or buy) a picnic.

The Zoo's Picnic Grove opens at 6:30 PM for people to enjoy picnic dinners brought from home, or purchased from the Zoo's concession stands. People are also welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs. The Zoo itself will not be open for touring during the evening.
