Bike the Beach

Come Bike the Beach on a picturesque route beginning at Jennings Beach in Fairfield, Connecticut. Follow the route through as many as five historic New England towns. All of the routes pass by scenic beaches.

100% of the funds raised from Bike the Beach 2007 will be used to benefit people with developmental disabilities through the activities of the Probus Club of Greater Bridgeport and its support of other community organizations such as The Kennedy Center, Inc.

Each Rider will Receive:
  • Bike the Beach 2007 T-shirt to first 300 preregistered cyclists
  • Detailed souvenir road map
  • Fully stocked rest stops with rest rooms
  • SAG wagon support
  • Lunch after the tour
  • Valuable bicycle related prizes for the people collecting the most pledges
  • Much, much more

Registration: starts at 7:00 a. m. and all riders must finish by 3:00 p. m.:

62 Miles/8:00 AM (Challenging; flat to hilly
45 Miles/9:30 AM (Easy; flat to rolling)
22 Miles/10:30 AM (Easy; flat to rolling)
11 Miles/11:30 AM (Easy; flat to rolling)

Pre-registration fee - $25 by August 31, 2007 or
Registration fee - $35 after August 31, 2007 or
Pledge Registration: Raise a minimum of $35 in prepaid pledges and ride free.

Directions to Jennings Beach : Take I-95 to exit 22 (Round Hill/North Benson Roads). If coming from New Haven, turn left at the light at the bottom of the ramp. If coming from New York, go behind the rest stop, at the stop sign, continue straight and turn right at the next light. Follow South Benson Road for about 0.2 miles to the Post Road (US 1). Go straight across the Post road and continue on South Benson Road 1 mile to the end. The Jennings Beach parking lot will be on your left.

By Metro North New Haven line train: Get off at Fairfield station (about 1 hour from New York), ride 1 block to the Post Road. Turn left and ride through five lights to South Benson Road. Turn right and continue on South Benson Road 1 mile to the end. The Jennings Beach parking lot will be on your left.
