Fairfield's Earth Day Celebration

Fairfield's Earth Day Celebration
Do your part for Mother Earth, and join the community as it celebrates Earth Day on Saturday May 10th at Fairfield Warde High School.

Sponsored by the Home Depot and Maritime Motors, learn about clean and renewable alternative energy choices, conservation and our environment, safe organic products and services, and alternative transportation.

You'll also be able to recycle—at no cost to you—household items such as old sneakers, cell phones, wire hangers, and batteries.

Join local chef Michel Nischan, owner of the Dressing Room—a restaurant opened in collaboration with Paul Newman that focuses on the use of locally grown, organic and sustainable foods—as he signs copies of his new book, Homegrown Pure and Simple: Great Healthy Food from Garden to Table from 9:30 to 11:00.

Bring the kids and enjoy family entertainment—including a drums & percussion group—as well as free samples, face painting, arts and crafts, games, and prizes, and much, much more.

Admission and parking are free
