Lights For Literacy

Lights For Literacy
We hear so much these days about this generation of kids having so much at such a young age. They've  earned labels like  "Generation Y" and  "Echo Boomers".

While there may be some truth to that, this generation of children should be coined the "generation of giving back".
Never before has a generation been so focused on philanthropy. They raise money for their towns, their schools, their sick friends and nonprofits that need them. They send their pennies, their clothes, school supplies and even themselves to far off lands, always with the intention of helping those less fortunate.
Here's just another example of this generation wanting to make a difference. Let's pitch in and support them!

Tomlinson Middle School students are raising funds to purchase solar powered flashlights to send to kids in Haiti where electricity and literacy are scarce.

The goal is to purchase 150 flashlights costing $35 each. They need to raise $4900 and we want to help them.
