If you're like Suzy, you can't keep track of all the local Halloween events. Here's our primer to make sure you and your kids don't miss a thing:

Third Thursday: Ghost Stories at the Fairfield Museum & History Center
Thursday, October 16th, 2008 6 - 8PM
Come hear spooky stories and tales that will curl your toes as Katie Marchand, professional actress and story teller, tells stories of ghost and haunting. Witches Brew will be served. (stories are suitable for family audiences).
Museum Members: $5, Non-members: $7, Sponsored by Fairfield Theater Company.

Parent Survival Night - Kooky, Spooky Pajama Party at The Little Gym
Take advantage of The Little Gym's Parent Survival Night. Once a month the TLG staff hosts a themed fun filled night (pizza included) so you can get some much needed time to yourself. This month they can wear their Halloween costume while playing Halloween games.
Cost: $30/child $14 each additional child for members, $35/child $16 each additional child for non-members

Ghost Hunter Lorraine Warren at the Beardsley Zoo
For over 45 years, Lorraine Warren has painstakingly investigated the realm of the supernatural throughout America, Europe and Australia. Lorraine and her late husband Ed's investigative research on over 3500 cases of psychic phenomena has convinced them beyond a shadow of doubt of the existence of ghosts, demons, witches, Satanist, vampires and werewolves.
Friday, October 17 at 8:00 pm in the Carousel building at the Zoo.
Doors will open at 7:00 pm.
Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased in advance by calling at (203) 332-4243, or they can be purchased at the door the night of the event.

Friday Oct. 24 at 6PM & Saturday, Oct. 25 at 5PM
Ghosts, witches and goblins of all ages are invited to a Spooky Stroll. Follow a costumed guide through Fairfield's legendary Town Green and Old Burying Ground. Bring your flashlights and costumes are encouraged! Spooky Stroll begins at Fairfield Museum. Please pre-register, call 203-259-1598. Cost: adults $5, children $3.

The musical blends the pop iconography of "Grease" and "High School Musical," and is filled with 1950s-inspired music and lots of dance. Don't worry, even though it has a Halloween theme, it's more fun than scary. The production is vintage retro fun with lots of laughs.

Enchanted Forest
Put on your costume and join the CT Audubon for a guided walk through their Enchanted Forest, discovering the creatures that are awake at night.

The annual Halloween event is a fun, safe and low-key way to celebrate the autumn season. Before or after your walk, come inside for games, crafts and snacks, and meet the Center's creepy, crawly and feathery critters.
Guided walks leave on the half hour starting at 5:30 p.m. Call to reserve your tickets for one of the following walks: 5:30, 6, 6:30, 7 or 7:30 PM
Event is held rain or moonshine.
Pre-registration is required. Payment is also required when you register: please call 203-259-6305 ext. 109. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Fee for CAS members: $10/child, $8/adult. For Non-members: $14/child, $12/adult. All proceeds support CT Audubon's year-round conservation and education programs.

Celebrate Halloween at our spooktacular party for families. Enjoy live animals, hands-on activities, tasty treats, games, a monster mash dance, storytelling and more. Register early!

Beardsley Zoomobile "Creepy Crawlies" & Pumpkin Carving at the Pequot Library
Saturday, October 25th, 2008 11 AM - Noon
Beardsley Zoo's Zoomobile will visit the Library with its Halloween assortment of delightful creatures. Come learn about these lovely critters from the Zoo's wildlife educators. Then carve your family pumpkins on our Great Lawn because WE CLEAN UP! Bring your own pumpkins and a sharp knife to cut the lids. We'll provide the carving tools and stencils—plus snacks and "spooky" songs…. (Registration required for zoomobile—max. 30 children. Boo at the Zoo at the Beardsley Zoo

Go Trick-or-Treating at the Beardsley Zoo "Boo at the Zoo". During Boo at the Zoo on Oct. 26 from noon to 3 p.m., the zoo will offer free admission for children under 12 in costume accompanied by their (paying) families.
The event will feature music, candy, games, crafts, and the Farmyard Barn decked out for the holiday.
