Southport Veterinary Center Opens Pet Portrait Gallery
If you are a pet lover like Suzy, don't miss this event:

Fine art portraits, photographs and sculpture of pets by noted artists from around the country will be on display at a gallery opening and reception at Southport Veterinary Center this coming Saturday, November 15th.

The opening reception is perfectly timed for holiday gift-giving, so pet owners can commission works of art with the added incentive that a percentage of their commission will help benefit the life-saving work of the Animal Cancer Foundation, whose mission is to develop and support research that advances the treatment and prevention of cancer in people and pets.

Offering an eclectic range of artistic styles -- from oil portraits painted in the old master tradition to colorful hybrid art combining photography and painting to pop art warhol style -- and mediums, including oils, watercolors, dramatic black and white photographic images, and sculpture, the featured artists include: Carrie Bagalio, Corinne Barton, Joy Bush, Pamela Campbell, LeaAnn Cogswell, Karen Corell, James Graham, Robert McClintock and Roy Weinstein.
