Scan It at Stop and Shop

The new Scan It system is up and running at the Westport Stop and Shop. This weekend, Suzy took it for a test drive.
Make sure you have your Stop and Shop card handy, because that's how you'll check out your scanner. Then, grab your cart and start scanning! The handheld scanner is easier to navigate than most PDA's so you only need a minute or two to figure out the device's capabilities. Scan your items as you put them in your cart, and this little gizmo keeps track of everything, including your total bill and savings. It will also beep periodically to alert you to other items on sale in the store.
The scanner's biggest advantage, however, is that it saves you from unloading your cart full of groceries onto the belt and waiting while the person at the check out scans each item for you. It cut Suzy's check out time down to a fraction!
Nothing like spicing up a trip to the supermarket!
